A Grand Hoorah to Greece
Oh Greece. Ever since my fist visit in 2013 I've been hooked on this little piece of heaven. This was the last stop of the #kelsnalbslasthoorah and we couldn't have picked a better place to say reminisce about our time abroad and relax.
Athens holds so much culture. Theres ruins EVERYWHERE! Not even exaggerating. I had such a different experience this time around in the city - I actually appreciated the history. Maybe its because I'm older now and actually paid for my ticket myself and voluntarily decided to go into the Parthenon :-) Kelsey and I walked around to Rick Steves talking about the city. I fell in love with it all over again!
Like I said earlier, leaving Santorini for last was absolute genius. The island was as beautiful as ever, simply less filled with tourists. It was perfect.
We snagged an Airbnb in Oia and the view from it blew us away. Blue, turquoise, water. Amazing.
We ate pitas for lunch two days in a row, slept in, walked around, and even did a 11km hike around the Caldera - AMAZING! I would definitely recommend it, just don't misjudge that sunlight. Kels and I nearly sprinted the last 2 km because we were running out of daylight!
We laughed. We cried. We sat in silence. We reminisced.
It has all been a great adventure.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
See you soon, EU <3
